Bourbon Blondies

Writer's picture: Bailey WilburBailey Wilbur

Buttery, bourbon-y, vanilla-y goodness. These blondies are great for any sweet tooth. The smell of them in the oven will fill your home and you will want to have one warm right out of the oven. With just a few ingredients, you can pull off amazing blondies. My own additions included cinnamon and a small amount of bourbon, this combination with the simple ingredients takes it over the edge. You can also add chocolate chips, nuts, or caramel.

Pull Together

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 tsp vanilla

  • 1 stick of butter

  • 2 cups of brown sugar

  • 1/4 cup of bourbon

  • 2 cups of flour

  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray a 9×9 pan with cooking spray or coat with butter.

  2. In a large bowl, stir eggs, and vanilla until smooth.

  3. Add melted butter, brown sugar, and bourbon.

  4. Add the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon and stir until well incorporated.

  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth out.

  6. Place in the oven to bake for 30 minutes until edges are golden and a toothpick comes out clean.

  7. Allow to cool completely, then cut into squares.
