Spiced Apple Ice Cream

Is there anything better than combining the flavors of fall and ice cream together? I don't think so. This ice cream uses apple butter to give the ice cream it's rich apple flavoring. I used this apple butter recipe, but you can use any store-bought or favorite recipe. This ice cream also uses a basic vanilla ice cream base with cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. These spices give you all the rich flavors of fall, all while being a sweet cold treat.

Pull Together:

  • 2 eggs

  • 3/4 cup sugar

  • 1 1/2 cups milk

  • 2 cups heavy cream

    • 2 tsp vanilla

    • 1 tsp salt

    • 2 tsp cinnamon

    • 1 tsp nutmeg

    • 1 tsp ground cloves

    • 1 1/2 cups apple butter

Steps to Follow:

1. Ensure your ice cream bowl is frozen and ready to make some ice cream.

2. Whisk together or use an electric blender to whisk the eggs and sugar together until pale in color.

3. Combine the rest of the ingredients together until thoroughly incorporated. Let ice cream base sit overnight in the fridge. This will help with the churning process and create an even richer flavor.

4. Once the ice cream base has set, pour into the ice cream machine and follow the manufacturers' instructions. Enjoy!
